Programme
Spirituality Classes
As part of the daily schedule, students will attend Islamic spirituality classes led by Shaykh Ibrahim Osi-Efa, focusing on the timeless teachings of Imam Al-Ghazali. Drawing from his renowned works, such as Ihya' Ulum al-Din (The Revival of the Religious Sciences), the sessions aim to nurture inner transformation, self-discipline, and a deeper connection to Allah. exploring themes like purification of the heart, sincerity, and the inner dimensions of worship.
Through guided readings, students will deepen their understanding of Islamic ethics and spirituality, drawing practical insights to enrich their personal faith and daily practice.
Futuwwa Classes
As part of the retreat, students will engage in daily Sunnah-inspired “sports”, including horseback riding, archery, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (both Gi and No-Gi). These activities are not only a means of physical development but also embody the prophetic tradition of strength, discipline, and chivalry.
Horseriding and archery revive the noble skills encouraged by the Prophet ﷺ, while BJJ offers practical training in self-control, resilience, and humility. Together, these sports help cultivate mind, body and soul, fostering the virtues of courage, patience, and brotherhood in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Remembrance of God
At the heart of the retreat is the daily remembrance of God, which frames and enriches each day. Participants will engage in adhkar—selected daily litanies from the Khulasa—recited together before and after the congregational prayers. These moments of collective remembrance cultivate spiritual presence and a deeper connection to Allah and His Prophet. Through consistent practice, dhikr becomes a source of inner calm, anchoring the retreat experience in devotion and reflection.
Excursions
Students will have the opportunity to explore the mosques, madrasahs, maqams, and zawiyas of historic Fes, accompanied by teachers and scholars.
